Is Facebook Marketing For Me or My Business?

Posted June 22nd, 2010

One of the most common questions I receive from friends, business clients, and colleagues is whether or not there is any value in marketing with Social Media.

Unfortunately, most of the hype around marketing on social media sites is 99% BS and 1% effective results. There is however one bright shining spot on the social media marketing landscape…Facebook.

What I advise to folks is to first ask these three key questions:

1. Can I advertise on Facebook and make a profit?
2. Will my products appeal to Facebook users?
3. How much time should I devote to understanding how to advertise on Facebook?

I recommend that they take a short quiz to evaluate how their specific business or service will appeal to Facebook users.

Facebook Marketing Quiz:

Depending on the answers that you give will determine whether or not Facebook is right for you.
